He actually posted it back in January, but since I avoid his website I only just found out. For those of you who are only familiar with the TV series, the wait for season 4 is like a walk in the park compared to the wait between his printed volumes. The fifth volume of A Song of Ice and Fire took five years to write, sending a few of his fans off the deep end.
Reading his webpage just reminds you how many other things he likes to do aside from writing.
I was lucky enough to come to the series late, and got to consume the whole thing in one marathon reading session that made me useless for weeks. Those of you who haven't read the novels should not read this chapter. It gives away just a bit too much. Those who have, well, it's just enough to make the wait feel real again.
It is, quite literally, a teaser.
