UN Drugs Conference

The conference which starts today in Vienna will focus on ways to reduce the demand and supply of narcotic drugs. The discussions will take on added importance as some countries in South America and some States in North America legalise the sale of marijuana.

Russia Baltics

Russia believes it has the right to defend the rights of ethnic Russians wherever they may be. However, this justification of what’s happening on the Crimean Peninsula has the Baltic States and Poland very concerned.

Paralympics

The winter Paralympics come to an end in Sochi this weekend. The games have been largely overshadowed by what’s been happening in Ukraine but we use the occasion to look at the rights of handicapped people in Russia.
