Today's Webtip: The web as it was
It's been 25 years since the web was woven. What started out as an attempt at organizing research information has exploded into something that connects that planet.
It's almost hard to believe that Tim Berners Lee once took to the road with an offline copy of the web in his pocket to present his baby to non-networked colleagues. You can read about those early days in a collection of hyper-linked texts on Motherboard or you can just click around the past at an online archive of the way the web was at www.ibiblio.org .
It's a hoot.
