The Autonomous Republic of Crimea

Russian media usually refer to it as The Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Western media usually call it a region or province of Ukraine. Technically, Russia is right and in practice, the West is, but either way, Crimea is probably the hottest spot on the geopolitical map at the moment.

Analyst Gerhard Mangott explains what the autonomous status means in relation to the current situation, and why, as with most things related to Ukraine, it's complicated.
