Today's Webtip: Soundiiz
I'm a wanderer. I seem to have tried out every possible music streaming service. From Last.fm (why did you do it guys?!) to Pandora (Once, long long ago) Spotify, Deezer and Rdio. I won't even mention the others...
Since none of the services seem to be competing on price, there are only two things to help you decide which might be for you. Features and music library.
Features are easy to compare. Music libraries on the other hand...
What does it mean when one service has 3 million more tracks than another? Will it have an impact on your music selection or are those three million tracks mostly stuff you wont miss anyway? One way to compare is with playlists. If you have already managed a huge personal collection, or established a useful library at another service, one easy way to compare libraries is to compare lists. And that is where today's webtip is rather useful.
Soundiiz can transfer playlists from different services across the web. That makes a direct comparison a bit easier, means you don't have to struggle to recreate your collection on a new service, and, for the services that don't let you upload your own tracks, makes it possible to recreate your collection online.
When it works, it's great.
