The Tony Soprano of US Politics
The EU and CAR
EU states' ambassadors are meeting in Brussels today to discuss proposals to send a joint military force to the Central African Republic (CAR).
The force (between 700 and 1000 men) would have the status of a Common Security and Defence Policy mission.
Two options are being considered: sending troops to secure the main roads leading from CAR to neighbouring Cameroon, or posting soldiers to protect the airport in Bangui, in order to relieve French troops who are currently stationed there to carry out other operations.

The time-honoured motto is usually "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" and the International CES, more commonly known as the Consumer Electronics Show takes that motto seriously. The internationally renowned electronics and technology trade show, attracts major international companies and industry professionals and they gather each January at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The event is not open to the public. This is because they show new product announcements yet to be unlashed to the buying masses and so the products need to be protected.
It's a good thing Daniel Sokolov, who writes for C’t Magazine, is also a contributor to Reality Check. He is in Las Vegas, at the CES, and he has been able to pass on this excellent insight into the latest developments when it comes to 3D printing.
