Today's Webtip: CCC
The 30th Chaos Communication Congress is getting started today in Hamburg. As much was I wish I could be there, it just aint happening this year.
But that doesn't mean I have to miss all of the fun. Well, I will have to miss the parties, workshops and hanging around, but I won't be missing the speakers. The CCC plans on streaming their stuff, and if it all works as planned it should be better than being there. Although I guess the CCC is one place I could show up in my footy pyjamas and no one would mind...
Anyway, this years congress is getting off to a nifty little start with Glenn Greenwald as the keynote speaker. Those of you who might not be into the hole hacking thing but are interested in some of the big questions involving security, privacy, and the potential for communications technology to do both good and evil cna also choose from an interesting collection of lectures to view.
The organizers were kind enough to provide everything in a variety of formats, as well as breaking down the schedule into color coded tracks to make it easy to find what you might want.
I was hoping to go through and selest some of the tasiest treats, but my internet connection is just not playing along today, so I'm going to just give you a link to the schedule and the streams.
Mr. Greenwald will be speaking at 19:00 tonight.
