Aid workers are overwhelmed by the scale of the disaster

With over 10,000 people believed dead, and millions displaced, the aid agencies are facing a race against time to get food, water and sanitation distributed to the areas devastated by the typhoon. Aid workers are working as fast as they can, but the death toll will almost certainly rise.

The temple is at the centre of a dispute dating back to colonial times.

The International Court of Justice has ruled that Cambodia should have sovereignty over most of the land around the Preah Vihear temple on the border between Thailand and Cambodia. Both governments seem happy with the ruling, but it's unclear how the Thai people will react. Tony Cheng reports on the background to the dispute and the significance of the ruling.
