Today's Webtip: Snowden effect?
When the first series of articles covering the NSA documents leaked by Edward Snowden were released, a lot of people reacted with a mix of "i told you so" and resignation. It felt like a relief to know what was going on, but the scope was so massive that it felt like this knowledge alone wasn't going to be enough to change anything.
But awareness is a funny thing, and it looks like it might have been enough to start making a difference.
That, at least, is the theory being put forth in an article in The Atlantic.
