In Afghanistan, the governor of Logar province has been assassinated while addressing the people in his local mosque. He was killed when a bomb planted under a table exploded, killing the governor and injuring 15 others. The incident will come as a severe blow to the government, which is struggling to establish some sort of security before the NATO troop pull out next year.
