As the death of the middleman continues to spread across industries I suspect we will be hearing more panicked tales of woe and despair like we already know from the music and media industries. If we are lucky, and the various governments haven't managed to kill off the open internet, we might get to make it to the next stage.

Structures built from the ground up to take advantage of modern technologies and the synergies that they allow.
