Sometimes Reality Check hands over its Saturday Special programme (12-13) to a member of our community who takes us inside their world, in a feature called FM4 - My Reality.

They created a freeski documentary of their expedition which shows endless landscapes and impressive mountains, sunny ascents and first descents, and the bitter coldness and daily difficulties of life in the base camp. It is not your everyday ski movie. But this was no everyday ski adventure.

The Dude:
Stephan Skrobar is a fully certified ski instructor and ski guide and head of the freeride center "Die Bergstation". He is a member of the Fischer Freeski Team, examines ski instructors, runs a communication agency and loves punkrock.

On the border of Mongolia, China, Russia Has been vaguely explored with skis before, but only very recently and very superficially. Very remote area.

Khuiten, the highest mountain of Mongolia. Luring us with brilliant morning sun, but chucking in another snowstorm just below the summit. Here we are hiking, oblivious to what was going to hit us seven hours later.

The Teaser Video:
Mongolia - Life Inside the Tent
On the seventh day of our stay in the Tavan Bogd mountain range the camp got hit by a snowstorm. After running around trying to fix the tents we snuck back into the sleeping bags. It was cold.
