Today's Webtip: The other side of the NSA

An NSA mathematician says there is no reason to worry.

Not for Americans at least.

Roger Barkan kicks of his article with a very clear declaration of faith in his colleagues:

As someone deep in the trenches of NSA, where I work on a daily basis with data acquired from these programs, I, too, feel compelled to raise my voice. Do I, as an American, have any concerns about whether the NSA is illegally or surreptitiously targeting or tracking the communications of other Americans?

The answer is emphatically, "No."

Smething the NSA's own Inspector General apparently can't claim.. To be fair, the U.S. Department of defense has apparently blocked access to The Guardian for members of the millitary, and, I presume, the NSA.

We Too Are Americans

So, U.S. citizens living in the states don't need to be so upset! The rest of the world, on the other hand...
