Today's Webtip: XKeyscore
The NSA officially declassified some information on their global eavesdropping program yesterday. Information that basically just confirms what we already knew. Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, the Guardian dropped another Snowden bomb, revealing a really nifty (but totally whacked out) NSA program called XKeyscore.
It makes those silly cop show representations of online surveillance look almost realistic.

Seriously, it's as if the whole infinite zoom on remote surveillance cameras suddenly worked. Except in this case it's more like the oversized UI that only has a place to input the bad guys email address and a prominent search button. Now I'm just waiting to find out that we have actually hacked an alien mothership with a floppy diskette and ancient Powerbook.
I'm not going to summarise the article, because this is something you really have to read. Because all of you non-americans are completely fair game, and I'm sure the high quality powerpoint presentations will make you feel much better about that fact.
