Setting the record straight on what teachers make.

I'm a teacher groupie. I was lucky enough to be able to put together a fine collection of excellent teachers as a kid, and I would love to keep adding more to my list. Because good teachers rock.

This might be a good point to mention that I also hate the way teachers are treated by politicians, the media, and as a result quite a bit of the public. Want to attract the best and brightest to a career in education? Treat that career choice with a little bit of respect and it might just happen.

So, that's my rant. Time for me to give up the soapbox for someone who does an excellent job of tying it all together in a much more entertaining manner. Taylor Mali is a teacher and a poet and he does poetry slams. In this case, he slams a smug lawyer:
