A resource for those who like a bit more of it in their lives.

Anyone who has ever tried to use internet recipes has probably stumbled across the problem of spice names. Cooking instructions from other regions tend to use local or colloquial names, which can lead to difficulty or downright catastrophe when trying to find them here.

Cumin had me messed up for years.

While on the hunt for nigella, I ran across something incredibly useful. A page about spices that not only includes the name in a variety of languages, but also info on it's use, what it looks like and the etymology.
