Remember the generation gap? It seemed to be an idea based on a very strict separation of adult and teen culture. Something that might have made sense at the beginning of the 20th century, but needs to finally be put to rest.
Especially when it comes to Rock n Roll.
Last week, millions of internet types were surprised to found out that people over 60 were capable of being talented musicians. Well, maybe they were just surprised that a little old lady could rock a drum-kit. Or perhaps they haven't done the math that would tell them that Janice Joplin would be 70 by now. Or that some of the other living rock legends have passed well into great grandparent age...
Whatever the case, when an elderly lady walked in to a La Cross music store and started playing the drums, cameras were quickly pulled out. The video of her playing went viral, her identiy revealed, and journalists quickly dispatched.
And now we have an interview with her.
