Today's Webtip: Open Source Games

a lovely collection of classic time killers.

Have you ever kept an old computer running just to be able to play a favorite game?

Maybe you've been clearing out some junk and found an old favorite that you wanted to play again, only to realize you can't get it to install on your current system. Most games just end up getting abandoned when they are no longer financially sustainable for the developer, but sometimes they find a new life. As open source. And when the developers don't free the code it can also happen that industrious individuals decide to make their own version from scratch.

osgameclones.com has a link collection for both. It's a nice little list of games you might recognize, a few that actually had their own webtips, and many I never had the chance to play back in the day.

And if anyone is looking for someone to play a little Marathon with, let me know. Online multiplayer is no fun alone.
