Today's Webtip: I'm Google
I've been following various forms of "New Media" art since the days of HyperCard and Laser Discs. I haven't always liked what I have seen, but at least I've seen a lot.
But I haven't really been paying quite as much attention lately. So it's very possible that someone else has already turned Google and Tumblr into an installation while I wasn't looking. Perhaps even before Dina Kelberman did.
Not that it matters. I would probably still be scrolling through I'm Google even if it had been done before. There is something hypnotizing about the way her collection of found photos develops as you scroll down the page. It's an entertaining use of Google image search and Tumblr.
It's not all that she has done though, and if you want to see the rest, you can chuckle (or frown) through her list of projects at dinakelberman.com.
