Google Reader is going to be put down. Time to look at the alternatives.

I'm sooooooooo bummed out. My number one tool, the service I use more than any thing, app or site, is soon to go offline.

Google is going to kill their RSS reader.

I guess it serves me right for falling for a cloud solution.

Oh well. I could spend the next couple of weeks in mourning, or I can prepare to abandon ship. I've already experimented with a lot of options, and still have accounts at some of the classics like Netvibes, but I need more suggestions.

Lifehacker is in the same boat. Thy have a post up right now looking at some of the alternatives, and the comments look like they might be promising.
