Going to the movies can be a fine experience. But it isn't very good value for the money. Especially when you find yourself having to finance an entire families worth of entertainment.
Making your won version of a blockbuster movie trailer is a much better deal. For less than the price of popcorn you can keep a whole crew entertained for days, while having a finished product you can the share with the rest of the world.
I really can't imagine why any one would ever want to do anything else.
