Today's Webtip: Take it or leave it

The election might be over but the crazy has just begun.

It's one of those things that probably didn't really surprise anyone who has been following US politics for a while, and would have stayed on it's timeline rather than ending up here if it wasn't for a few other things that have happened in the last couple of days.

To begin with, a Texas Republican party official let off a little steam after the elections by calling a good portion of the population maggots, and suggesting that Texas should part ways with the rest of the U.S.

That's not really anything new. There has been a Texas seccesion movement for quite some time. And yes, there is a website: www.texassecede.com

But now I have run across several other stories in the same vain. First, a petition to allow Luisianna to bow out, and then an article pointing to the fact that similar petitions had been started for 15 states in the union.

Interesting times indeed...
