Today's Webtip: Electoral whatsit?

A few explanations of the U.S. presidential election process.

On the first tuesday after the first monday of November, the U.S. population will go to election polls to vote. And then the real electors will get out and do there job.

Yes, I'm talking about the electoral college. One of those things many people first became aware of after the 2000 presidential elections. One of those things a lot of people still don't quite grok. One of those things that makes it nearly impossible for a third party candidate to ever be able to win an election.

It could also be argued that it's one of those things that helps keep the control of U.S. politics firmly in the hands of a select group of people.
