Today's Webtip: Real Time Fiction
People have been toying with the possibilities provided by modern technology for a while now. Most of the arts have been in on it, some providing more spectacular results than others.
Literature hasn't usually been among the most flashy. Some playing with hypertext, serialization, maybe the odd adventure into alternative distribution or copyleft...
And now an attempt to allow readers to watch the writing process as it happens. Taking one of the benefits of Google's online text editor and using it for what appears to be a cross of self promotion and creative aid is, well, interesting.
The document has found enough fans to make it difficult to access the real-time features, but even those who can't follow along get a chance to read a work before it ever goes to a publisher.
