Today's Webtip: The Frugal Filmmaker
Video making has become unbelievably accessible. It always makes me a bit teary eyed when I look back to what a mid-90's digital setup cost. And then I get all happy when I think that I can now do most of the same things with my phone. I really never expected to have a full non-linear digital production station that fit in my pocket.
As much as I love the fact that anyone can now shoot, edit and distribute a film for pocket change, I have to admit that a lot of videos also look like they were filmed out of someone's pocket. No lighting, terrible audio, jerky camera work and lack of basic knowledge tends to get in the way of what might have been a brilliant idea.
Fortunately, these are easy things to fix, cheaply. You just need to know how. And that's where The Frugal Filmmaker comes in. Loads of information on getting the goods out without breaking the bank.
