Mayor of London Boris Johnson last night: "I hear there's a guy, there's a guy called Mitt Romney who wants to know whether we're ready. Are we ready?"
After seven years of planning, London is set to light up the sporting world tonight with a spectacular show directed by Danny Boyle. Will it be a crowd-pleaser, will the games be a success and how have these Olympic games affected London? Correspondent Olly Barratt reports:

Global Arms Treaty
Today US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to sight the Arms Trade Treaty. It's all about tighter controls on buying, selling, and transferring conventional weapons across borders. Human rights groups are calling for a strong treaty to put a stop to the kind of arms trade which fuels conflict and human rights abuses. Katy Wright from Oxfam explains:
