Today's Webtip: Solar Storms

how do they work? Or rather, what do they look like. Unlike ICP, NASA has the answers.

You have probably heard by now that we are about to get hit by a solar storm. Tales of destroyed satellites, mucked up communications and other fun things have been finding their way into news outlets across the planet.

As much as the bad boy in me loves the idea of a total communications breakdown, it looks as though the potential for chaos and destruction is being over stated.

What we can look forward are some awesome images. Those of you who don't want to wait for the first shots of the northern lights can already start enjoying some fine imagery from our favorite ball of gas right now.
