New hope for Greece - but will it last?

Just 6 weeks after the first inconclusive election, Greeks have been to the polls again. The result in terms of the positioning is the same - 1st: New Democracy, 2nd: Syriza, 3rd: Passok. The main difference is that both New Democracy and Syriza have added around 10% to their share of the vote, which means New Democracy now has a reasonable chance of forming a more or less workable coalition.
This brought a little more optimism to the markets this morning, but it might be short lived.
While New Democracy might be in the driving seat for now, Syriza has already said they will not be part of any coalition, and will go into opposition - and a formidable opposition they promise to be. With over a quarter of the country behind the Syriza, plus other Greeks disaffected by the country's handling of the crisis, their power to mobilize anti-austerity protests will be considerable, and some sort of civil unrest seems almost inevitable.
There is, of course, also the possibility that there still won't be a workable coalition deal, but that is a prospect no one wants to consider at this stage.
Katrin Auel at the Institute of Advanced Studies and our Athens correspondent, Helena Smith, look at the responses to yesterday's election, the likely next steps and the consequences for Greece and Europe.
