Two key decisions are expected today on the validity of the law that allowed a former member of the Mubarak regime to stand for president, and the legality of the parliamentary elections.

If the court rules either to be invalid, it would put Egypt's path to a new government right back to the beginning. Karim El Gawhary reports from Cairo
