Today's Webtip: Assange Extradition Verdict
Well, it looks like another chapter in the Assange saga is about to come to a close. The big question now is wether that will be the end of the story or just a setup for the next act.
Julian Assange, the public face of Wikileaks, is due to receive a verdict on his case from the UK supreme court. By this afternoon it should be clear wether or not he will be extradited to Sweden to face charges of sexual assault.
You do remember Wikileaks right? Their leak publishing took a bit of a hit over the last 18 months. Between Assanges legal woes and the banking blocade, it seems as though they have had to spend a lot of time doing non leaky stuff.
I know I'm still wondering what happend to their Bank of America docs.
Anyway, despite (or perhaps because of) the somewhat convoluted relationship between Assange and The Guardian, they are liveblogging the event.
And it looks lie Mr. Assange has lost.
