Today's Webtip: learn a language

fast, slow, or somewhere in the middle.

Have you ever thought it might be nice to add a few extra languages to your brain?

It doesn't have to be as painful as you might remember from your school language lessons. As a amtter of fact it can be a lot easier and quicker if you use the right strategy. For those of you who might have studied vocabulary but neveractually learned how to learn, there are some rather interesting resources available on the internets.

One that recently caught my attention was an article on Lifehacker by someone who claimed to have learned four languages in just a few years, actually reaching C1 proficiency in French in just a few months.

I have no idea if he's telling the truth, and there are several forum discussions by other wannabepolyglots who think he is just a littlw full of it. I do know that his tips seem to be pretty sound, and they certainly can't hurt anyone who wants to give a new language a shot.

how-to-learn-any-language.com is one of those sites with some heavy discussion taking place about that article. It's also a pretty good resource for people interested in language learning, with a clear guide, lots of links, and an interesting forum.
