Today's Webtip: TED-Ed

a rather interesting education platform.

TED videos have been a pretty hot property for quite some time now. They seem to be a pretty common goto resource for curious types from all over the place.

And now they have gotten a lot more useful. TED-Ed is a platform for teachers as well as students. It provides customized learning tools for teachers who are interested in leveraging online resources for their lesson plans. Since my secret identity is that of a mild-mannered teacher in the countryside, I am really looking forward to giving this a go.

The best thing about it is that they aren't just providing some useful tools, they are actively evangelizing the idea of Flip Teaching. Something that makes so much sense to me as both a parent and a teacher that I'm amazed it hasn't been forced into schools across the planet.

Anyway...

thenextweb.com has a pretty good introduction to the project, but for those of you who just want to get on with it, go right ahead.
