Tax deal could yield 1 billion Euro

Following on from deals with Germany and the UK, Switzerland is now working out an agreement with Austria that it's hoped will catch tax evaders stashing their money in secret Swiss accounts.
Finance Minister, Maria Fekter, says the planned deal could bring in an extra 1 billion Euros to Austria's tax revenues.
Our correspondent in Switzerland, Rafaela Stefandl, told Steve Crilley about the deal that is expected to be signed tomorrow.

Greece calls early elections
Greece is suffering heavily under the burden of the austerity measures that have been imposed to allow the country to receive bailout funds from the EU - so it's hardly surprising that the leading political parties are not exactly flavour of the month with the general public.
With parliamentary elections being called for May 6th, polls are showing is a dramatic surge in the popularity of the more extreme parties, both on the left and the right.

Syria cease fire
Earlier in the week, it looked as though the peace plan negotiated by Kofi Annan to put an end to the violence in Syria was dead in the water. However, contrary to the expectations of many analysts, the shelling has stopped and this morning has been quiet in Syria's major cities.
Although this may be a positive sign, there is little confidence that it really represents the first step to a lasting peace.

Trayvon Martin shooting
George Zimmerman, who claims he shot and killed the unarmed teenager, Trayvon Martin, in self defence has turned himself in to the authorities.
He has now been charged with second degree murder and will face trial.
