Today's Webtip: Google Privacy?
While we are still waiting for more info on the reality of VDS, and holding our breath to see if the UK actually implements real time online surveillance, we can at least try to deal with some of the security situations we know a little bit about.
Like Google.
It really shouldn't be news to anyone any more that Google knows a lot about you. And I hope you are aware that they have recently changed things up a little bit by finally getting all of their services to share amongst themselves. While a lot of people are obvisouly willing to make the tradeoff between service and security, it probably isn't a bad idea to be aware of some ways in which you can minimize just how much info you give away.
