Anyone in Vienna who wants to see one of the best Theremin performed on the planet might want to check out Pamelia Kurstin's concert tonight in Rhiz.
Talk about coincidence...
I would imagine most of you have heard of the theremin by now. It's been around for ages, was incredibly popular with certain horror film makers, and has been repeatedly rediscovered by musicians across the decades.
But do you know anything about the man behind the musical instrument? I didn't. Not until I ran across a BBC portrait of the man. It's part of the Witness series from BBC world service. You can read an article online, and listen to the podcast however you please.
