Today's Webtip: Something Real

A Culture novel based fan film.

I'm a massive fan of Iain Banks. Ever since my dear friend Mr. Grenzfurthner dropped one of his novels in my lap I have been doing my best to catch up on decades worth of missed Culture.

I am almost afraid to think of how many days of my life have been spent devouring the science fiction and mainstream novels of Mr. Banks. That said, I don't regret a single minute.

I just wish someone would film the things. Actually, I dream of a Culture based TV series. It probably won't ever happen though. I suspect a space opera based on the adventures of people and machines in a post-scarcity anarchist utopia could be a tough sell.

Fortunately, there are fans. One of them made a short film.
