Today's Webtip: Postcards from Mars
No jetpacks, no bemaing, and no weekend trips to mars, but we do have our pocket computers. It's not quite the future I had been hooping for as a kid, but the planet didn't self destruct and I think I can live with it.
Of course, even if we had already entered the era of personal interplanetary space travel, the chances that I would have been able to afford it are pretty slim. But I can afford a free app, and my phone, and that means I am well off enough to be able to enjoy the most recent photos from the Opprotunity mars rover mission.
