Don't fell too bad if you don't. It was one of the early players in the online music business. One of the earlier attempts at finding a way for artists to monetize digital music files, their move into an online locker service got them shot down in a copyright infringement lawsuit.
The man behind the whole thing, Michael Robertson, has had ample opprotunity to learn about the intricacies of online music distribution, and he has decided to share some of that knowledge in a post.
Needless to say, he's not very optimistic.
