Afghanistan makes its first strategic pact - with India
Afghanistan's neighbours will be key to its development and security in the future, but until now, it has not made any formal strategic deals with any other countries in the region. On a visit to India, Afghan president, Hamid Karzai, signed a strategic pact between the two countries agreeing, among other things, on security measures and Indian training for Afghan forces. Rahul Roy-Chaudhury explains the significance of this to Chris Cummins.

"Delete - the virtue of forgetting in the digital age"
The Internet is like an elephant - it never forgets. That is a good thing in some ways, but there are also times when it is better for some things to be forgotten. Internet expert Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, in his book "Delete - the virtue of forgetting in the digital age", says that there needs to be an urgent discussion on how to forget in the digital age, or we run the risk of becoming an unforgiving society.

Cleaners enlisted to help anti-doping efforts at London Olympics
The London Olympics are taking their anti-doping measures very seriously - even the cleaners are being involved. That's a great idea, according to sports policy expert, Barrie Houlihan. We all remember how the Austrian nordic team became the centre of a doping scandal at the Turin games, after doping equipment was found in a rubbish bin. Barrie says this is common practice, and cleaners could be a great help to the organisers in finding doping culprits.
