Today's Webtip: Glitch
Just when I thought I had managed to completely kick the Flash habit, something really exciting made me reinstall it. Glitch has gone out of beta, and is now accepting registrations.
What's so exciting about that? Well, it's a massively multiplayer online role playing game from the guy who made Flickr. That's nice, and might excite a few people, but what actually convinced me to reinstall my least favorite software was the news that they had managed to convince Keita Takahashi to come out of retirement to join their team.
As a casual gamer I'm don't tend to fall in to spasms of fanboi ecstasy when I read a developers name. Unless that name belongs to the man who gave us Katamari Damacy. That's enough to get me screaming like a midwestern Beatle's fan.
For those of you who need more convincing, there is an article on the game at www.kotaku.com.au that includes a link to an Interview with Keita Takahashi.
For those who are already convinced you can sign up now. They don't want to overwhelm the world so there will be a bit of a wait to complete the registration, but that just means you get to enjoy a day of ecstatic anticipation.
