Today's Webtip: Despora
Last year an ambitious little project made the headlines. Diaspora was set to free us from our facebook overlords, with an ope source solution to the social networking problem. Although the main site is still being a bit stingy with invites, other servers have been set up to satisfy the early adopters out there.
Which is a good thing. Mostly. But it can be a bit lonely. I set up an account at a german server Despora.de but havent found any friends yet. Im still waiting for a chance to try out the interconnection between servers, but in the mean time, maybe you want to join me on this one. Because 1 is indeed a very lonely number.
