Last chance for the Euro?
Today's Reality Check:
Questions over the future of the Euro
Angela Merkel and Nicholas Sarkozy spent a lot of time together yesterday evening. 7 hours in fact. They were desparately trying to thrash out a deal that could save the Euro without losing either of them too much popularity at home. The Eurozone summit sounds on the surface like just more Euro waffling, with lots of shaking of heads and hours of talks, but nothing really coming out apart from predictions of disaster unless something is done. However, this time, leaders are coming round to the realization that they are going to have to start acting with some sort of financial unity, or jeopardise the whole currency completely.
So what did Merkel and Sarkozy come up with? Our correspondent in Brussels, Vanessa Mock, is as close to the action as anyone - so I asked her what was known about the agreement between the Euro's two most powerful countries as the leaders met for the summit.
