Greek people are still opposing further austerity measures, even though that is the only way to secure the EU-IMF bailout
Prime Minister, George Papandreou, is struggling to strike a deal in the government that will enable the austerity measures to be approved that will secure the much needed EU-IMF bailout. However, the people are determined that no further austerity will be tolerated. According to The Guardian's Helena Smith, they don't seem to understand that the alternative, Greece defaulting on its debts and going bankrupt, could be much worse.
