Today's Webtip: Free Apps!
App stores are all the rage. Unfortunately, they almost all share the same weakness. They suck.
Well, they suck for certain things at least.
Like trying to find anything other than the top 50 or so apps in any given category. Or trying to find apps based on price changes.
Of course, their suckitude is just another opportunity for others. Quite a few others actually. App bloggers, review sites and of course app search sites.
And even more specific, sites that help you find apps that have come down in price.

Yesterday, Robert pointed out a site to me that does just that.
Free App a Day delivers what the name promises. Free Apps. Well, links to free aps and info and reviews. It's colorful, features quite a few iOS apps and seems to be moving into Android apps as well, although the selection is extremely small right now.
If you want a way to find more then you might want to check out Appolicious. It's almost the Amazon of app sites, with curated collections, reviews, featured apps and a special feature that tracks app price changes. It's a useful way to find a deal, and expands on Free App A Day's idea by including apps that are free as well as simply less expensive.
They also have a much more well developed Android selection, which is a pretty darn good thing indeed.
