Today's Webtip: Star.me

Kindergarten rewards for anyone.

Remember Ze Frank?

Well, he is still doing his best to make the world a bit more awesome. His most recent venture is a nifty little way to let people know how great you think they are. By giving out stars. Gold Stars. Red Stars. Angry Stars, Monkey Stars...

Yes, it's basically that ancient childhood motivational trick brought to the internet. The more stars you give, the more you can get. To give. You also unlock special stars, and according to Mr. Frank, you will eventually be able to unlock other forms of awesomeness as well.

I just signed up this morning so I haven't had a chance to really play around with it, but since it's from Ze, I'm willing to give it a go.

It's currently in closed beta, which means you have to find a way to get an invite. You can do that by playing a game, which I couldn't do because my IE didn't want to play; or you can do it by entering a super secret code.

Don't tell anyone I told you, but I think that code might be "sportsracer".

Give star.me a shot - I'm there too.
