Fast and Furious FAIL

On today's Reality Check: An initiative to control the flow of illegal weapons across the US/Mexican border has backfired.

Just a week ago, a group of gunmen stormed a crowded casino in northern Mexico and ignited a fire that trapped occupants inside, killing at least 53 people in what Mexico's president called an "aberrant act of terror."

The attack on the Casino Royale was the latest bout of spectacular violence in Monterrey, an industrial hub that is Mexico's third-largest city. For more than a year, the city has been the setting for a brutal turf war between rival drug-trafficking gangs that at times have held gunfights on downtown streets in broad daylight.

Guess where an unbelievable bulk of the guns being used, in shocking drug-cartel violence across Mexico, are coming from?

President Obama has publicly stated that 90 percent of Mexico's recovered crime guns come from the U.S. Of course, the Mexican government and Mexico's law-abiding citizens aren't thrilled with that statistic and so the Obama administration decided to do something about it.

But it all went horribly wrong. And on today's Reality Check, Priscilla Huff in our Washington DC studio gave us the lowdown on what happened south of the border....

Libya: The Price of a Revolution

Libya's rebel leadership is outlining its humanitarian, reconstruction and political needs to representatives from about 60 countries gathering in Paris today. Britain started delivering money yesterday, flying it to a bank in Benghazi. There's lots to talk about with regards to the Libyan Dinar and then, there's also the stockpile of gold in Libya--the largest in the world...the cost of living has sky-rocketed however in the past few months. So how are Libyans coping with the current situation there? Tony Cheng is our man on the ground in Tripoli.
