Sometimes I feel bad about not constantly focusing on all of the hard and heavy issues facing us and the rest of the world. there ar so many things out there that need to be uncovered, shared, and implemented. I frequently spend a good portion of the day wandering around in a concern induced fog, trying to sort a mix of disappointment, inspiration, hopelessness and baseless optimism into some kind of functioning plan.
I watch the planet being destroyed by boundless greed and selfishness, am amazed by peoples ability to identify with their captors and sit by helplessly as they occasionally try to break free and find a voice for themselves. By the time breakfast rolls around I have usually worked myself into such a forlorn frenzy that it's hard to do anything other than sit by myself and wish I had never given up learning to code.
Then, ignoring the breakfast I can't really eat, I surf on. Connected to the world and completely isolated. And just when it feels like I'm about to explode from sheer frustration, along comes a kitten. Or some stupid game. Or an exciting new project other people are starting to help save the world.
Or a ninja.
