Some of you might have realized that the social net in the U.S. has some mighty big holes. As someone who has slipped through one or two of them in the past, I can tell you that the situation truly sucks.
So it might not be too surprising that on the same day that a Florida judge declared Obama's small step toward healthcare reform to be unconstitutional, the Guardian published a story about one of the people who has fallen through the current net.
Dj Kool Herc is very sick and needs some help. Details are sparse, and he appears to at least be out of hospital, but it looks like he still needs assistance to deal with his situation.
