Today's Webtip: More Alt-Biz
The times they are a changing, and peoples willingness to try something new to make the moola move is resulting in some interesting experiments.

A group of indie game developers have put their works together in a bundle you can buy for, well, whatever you want to pay. A portion of the price goes to a charity, an idea that I have seen discussed in some rather interesting studies. It's apparently an effective combination of incentives that has done well for developers and charities alike.
The games are all cross platform, DRM free titles, and that too is a very cool thing. The whole bundle is an easy way to support cross platform independent game development, something which should almost count as a charity in it's own right.
Anyway, you can read about the bundle and check out reviews of the games on allgeekout.com.
