The man who once represented a whistleblower as a young lawyer, who later, as a presidential candidate, vowed to strengthen whistleblower laws in order to protect federal employees who put themselves at risk while exposing wrongdoing, is now waging what many people are calling a war on whistleblowers.
That article on Harper's Magazine from last August missed one of the more extreme examples of this administrations aggressive stance against whistleblowers. Bradley Manning, the private who may be the most prolific leak in US history, has been sitting in solitary confinement for 7 months.
